Giveaway & History of DK logo The DK logo was originally created when @eastbayray1 used 6 pieces of tape to put the initials ‘DK’ on his guitar, three for a triangle shaped ‘D’ and three for the ‘K.’ He then saw that the lines could be extended with a simple perpendicular line drawn down the middle and voilà, the classic four line DK logo outline was created. 46+ years later since our first show and, we’re celebrating with a special giveaway, see details below ❤️🖤 Prize:

On this day in 1995, Ramones released their final studio album 🦖 ¡Adios Amigos! is the fourteenth and final studio album by Ramones. It was released on July 18, 1995, through Radioactive Records. Ramones disbanded a year after its release and subsequent tour. While Dee Dee Ramone had left the band following 1989’s Brain Drain, ¡Adios Amigos! features six of his compositions. The album cover of ¡Adios Amigos! is a digitally altered version of a painting by artist Mark Kostabi, named Enasaurs, which features the dinosaurs wearing yellow witch hats. Johnny Ramone added that the dinosaurs were “what we felt like.” Kostabi’s painting was in turn modified from a painting by George Geselschap. #ramones #theramones #punkrock #rockandroll #punk

In a new interview with The Vinyl Guide Podcast, Descendents drummer Bill Stevenson confirmed that the band will release a new album in 2026. The podcast host asked Stevenson, “How close are we to hearing some new Descendents songs?” To which the drummer replied, “We have to release an album next year or I’ll b… my 🧠 out.” Stevenson added, “We already have like 25 songs recorded” and emphasized, “We’ll make it happen.” You can hear more details about this in episode 507 of The @vinylguide Podcast, which covers many other interesting topics with Bill Stevenson and Milo Aukerman of the @descendents. #descendents #punkrock #punk

The Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas has announced a new annual tradition at the museum to celebrate the life and legacy of the late No Use for a Name frontman. “Tony Sly Day” will be held every year on July 31st, paying tribute to his enduring influence on the punk rock community. The chosen date coincides with the day the musician passed away, and the museum invites fans, musicians, and supporters from around the world to join in honoring his memory. Also, that same day will be released on vinyl ‘Bedroom Recordings 1’ through the museum’s own record label.
