“I’m holding off on showing BTS from Day 7 & 8 for now due to spoilers. After being unable to be apart of the entire production outside of the first day, these important #broll shots were Jordan’s time to shine. And he absolutely did. The only thing brighter was the sun! 😂

Day 9 was all morning day shoots with our primary opening scene locations as we filmed Jireh driving around the east and southside of San Antonio. It really was a beautiful day for some outdoor 🦍 filmmaking.

Day 10 was a night shoot with Andrew coming along to help make the whole process much easier when it came to an extra director and chaperone. Especially when I did some (safe) high speed sunroof POV filming like some sort of GTA film!

Overall, these two days were very light on worry and straight to the point. Jireh was incredibly flexible and well responsive with his driving and communication. But I gotta give a major shoutout to Jordan once again for being a trooper through it all and getting such phenomenal shots at every location we went to and giving such valuable feedback on how we can make what work. I’m so incredibly proud of how much he’s grown and how much he’s been applying himself to the arts. Both in front and behind the camera and ESPECIALLY on stage! Did y’all know he’s such a characteristic actor wow! 😱

I’m so thankful to how much everybody on this cast and crew has been so involved and cooperative with the work that they put it. I put in all these detailed descriptions to show how important that is to me. Every ounce of creativity everyone puts in does not go unnoticed around me 😤

Alright, back to editing. It’s been a rough April. I’m kinda tired 🫠”

This “Snake Pit” teaser trailer is for an upcoming urban horror comedy short film shot with over a dozen talented local eastside San Antonio filmmakers. Snake Pit is meant for mature audiences only and it is not suitable for viewers under the age of 13. Be on the lookout for the official release in Summer 2026!

Directed, written, and produced by Noah Reyes (Founder of the Leftover Film Festival), in collaboration with Executive Producer/2nd AD Andrew Jacobi Jeter and Creative Circuit Studios. Starring Jireh White as the character “Nuke.” Raven Correa as the character
“Crow”, with Thomas Emilio Galeote (“Tosh”), Cloie Quintanilla Kai (“Hasebe”), Russell McElwee (“The Horned Woman”) and Ava Kristen Wade (“Demonic Voice”)

•The Impact:

This film explores and builds upon American and Japanese culture via a comedic and suspensefully entertaining story about tragic love and the consequences of greed and wrath.

We brought on board a Japanese Interpreter, Ava Kristen Wade, whom, in addition to her voice work, is utilizing her in-progress Japanese Masters Degree to bring an authentic and culturally accurate depiction of grammatically accurate Japanese in this film based on the works of Fumiko Enchi.

We are utilizing local high school and college students within the community by inspiring these young filmmakers to work with other established indie filmmakers outside of school and extracurricular programs.

Snake Pit is set within the same universe (and takes place within the same timeframe) as Noah Reyes’s previous film, LEFTOVER, which won “Best International Comedy”, “Best International Indie Producer” “Best Producer”, and “Best Editing” from is festival circuit runs.

Snake Pit is has expanded to a cast of five, three extras, two non-English speaking voice actors, and a crew of fifteen - two of which are undergraduate college students, three college graduates, four high school students, with the remainder being either independent filmmakers or complete newbies to the industry.

“With the start of a new month, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to one of our two main leads, Raven, as he flocked off to the Netherlands to complete some DLC missions for a few weeks.

Even though we were momentarily without a lead that made up over half of our script, we still had plenty left to shoot. So the following weeks were dedicated entirely to everybody else that wasn’t Raven.

Day 3 was a radical switch up to the near all hands on deck cast and crew of the first two days. This night shoot focused on the longest monologue in the film coming from @goldcufflink ‘s character, Nuke.

The crew consisted of @its_ya_boi_noah as director, @mel_melesita as 1st AD, @andrewjacobi as 2nd AD, @marcav73 as 2nd Unit DP, and @jay_2cool94 as the MVP of Sound.

For a dramatic decrease, we certainly got a heck of a lot done! And it looks and sounds fantastic too!

Btw Marshall, if anybody on set has a waist that is anywhere close to 9 inches, that person is absolutely me fr fr ong no cap 😤”
