My daughter and I recently had an incredible experience learning to grow our own food and start our own garden 🪴 with niyabrownmatthews and her husband. This knowledge feels more crucial than ever, given everything happening in our community and worldwide; we believe that understanding how to cultivate our own food will be absolutely key for the future. We learned about the different soil types, seasonal planting, and optimal growing times for various foods. We even learned the surprising benefits of worms in the soil and discovered which fruits and vegetables have powerful healing properties for the body.

Our teacher, who has bravely overcome cancer twice and significantly improved her health by growing and consuming her own produce, was an absolute inspiration. Her and her husband’s expertise and passion were truly amazing, and I highly recommend their guidance to anyone looking to start their own food-growing journey.

We will be starting our own greenhouse soon in our backyard. I asked my kids if they wanted to build a pool or a greenhouse and they both said “ greenhouse” 💕🫶🏽 Great 😊 Job! 😍
