🌟Author Spotlight: James Werner James is a bi-racial writer, filmmaker and actor from Los Angeles. Aside from working with the Blues Brothers and Z2 comics, James currently performs improv and clown in Los Angeles at @ucbtla and @wgis_space . He also has a career in the music industry as a songwriter and musician, and plays for the indie-folk-funk band, @treestheband , as well as the alternative-rock-soul band @kneestheband. In 2023, James was selected as one of fifty directors from around the world to attend the CREATOR’S LAB under mentorship of Palme d’Or winning director Apichatpong Weerasethakul where he scored Apichatpong’s latest short, July stories, starring Tilda Swinton. Prior to working independently, James attended Vassar college and worked at Blumhouse Productions and Bad Robot. Author Spotlight: Luke Pisano Luke is a father, a writer, and, in his spare time, runs a social media company. He’s also the son of Judy Belushi, who sadly passed away in July 2024. Before she passed, Judy and Luke began working on something special — a bold, heartfelt way to bring the Blues Brothers back through a graphic novel. It wasn’t just about a reboot, but about honoring the spirit of the original and reintroducing these iconic characters to a new generation. Now, Luke is finishing what they started. The book is dedicated to Judy, and it marks the beginning of a brand-new chapter — one that celebrates the music, the comedy, and the soul of the Blues Brothers in a way fans have never seen before. This isn’t just a tribute. It’s the return of a legacy.
