Had the best week playing “Suzanne” with @raye, hearing it in a cab, watching @djspider spin it in cannes, and to top it off my teenage niece came up to me at a bat mitz’vah and said “like the new song, uncle Mark”. Hope you’re feeling it too ❤️

I got back from London late last night so I woke up a little out of it this morning - and forgot what day it was. So when my oldest said “happy Father’s Day, daddy”, it took me by surprise with the most unprecedented jolt of joy and love i think I’ve ever felt… To all the dads ❤️❤️❤️.

Been in the studio working on a new album for a while now, doing all the things I usually do when I’m working on a record, finding the sound, trying to decipher my place in the world of music. That’s why it was such a joy to write this song with @raye that came so effortlessly. Not to say we didn’t put in work and about 124 tracks of background vocals, rewriting verses and bridges and re recording horn lines at the last minute, but the breeze was there. Shout out to Tommy Brenneck who co produced and wrote the music with me – one of my favorite goddamn musicians in this whole world. And thank you to Raye for your divine talents and energy and for helping me find some joy in the creation of music again. I hope you dig this. Love, Mark

Me and @wyclefjean told stories behind the songs we’ve made for @tribeca. I’ve been spinning his neoclassics since 94. The catalogue is so crazy I even forgot he did Whitney “my love”. I also never knew he could breakdance. When he pulled out a windmill, I instinctively busted a mad awkward b boy pose. ❤️
