Sometimes new ideas require new skills. It’s a busy season FOR SURE but I devoted my last couple mornings to a woodworking fundamentals class. Real ones know I love to craft, fix and build and this was so good for my brain. I got to use trigonometry and table saws all day 🙌🏾🤓💪🏾 THIS IS CORE JONNY!

For 15 years, I’ve carried a guitar on my back—from Chicago to NYC to Norway. It’s too precious and fragile to check. But over time, it’s gotten heavier. Add a couple mics, a laptop, cords, tuners… and suddenly, I’m hauling 30 pounds on my shoulders. That’s more than your roller bag.

The weight is real. My back is sore. It’s changed my posture.

But I’ve always likened it to my cross—
It draws attention.
It’s inconvenient.
It doesn’t naturally fit most places.

Some days, I want to leave it at home.
But I normally can’t.
Because without it…
I wouldn’t be fully me.

Don’t check your cross.

I’ve dropped 15 pounds. 40 cholesterol points. And chocolate chip cookies. I needed to ELEVATE EVERYTHING and I am proud that, with God’s help, I have. EVERYTHING.
