Aapka favourite song kaun sa hai? 😍

Have you heard Ed Sheeran's "Sapphire"?

I was amazed to see how beautifully it captures our India in its true glory.

From Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City, where Baahubali was filmed, to Meghalaya's 55-year-old iconic wooden bus, Bossmit, to Arijit Singh's hometown, Murshidabad, and even a glimpse of Rajasthan Royals' jersey.

It's truly a journey across India in one music video.

Apne sapne sach hote dekh rhi hai ek ladki. ❤️

Vo Kavya jo abhi school mein hai.

Jiske Maa Papa usse harr activity mein part dilaate hain. Fancy dress mein kabhi icrecream, kabhi TV bnate hain. 4 bje Kathak class bhejte hain, 5 bje piano class. Par Kavya bohot nakhre karti hai.

Vo Kavya jo abh college aa gyi hai.

Apne dream college. Par classes vo ek bhi attend nhi karti. Har dinn bass nukkad natak karti rehti hai. Raat ko ghar late aati hai. Maa gussa hoti hai. Par Kavya unhe kuch bol nhi paati.

Vo Kavya jo abh online videos bnane lgi hai.

Akele hi. Maano usse apna passion mill gya ho. Uske followers badh rhe hain. Dost, Maa, Papa congratulations bolne ke liye call karte hain. Par Kavya unse millne ka time nhi nikaal paati.

Vo Kavya jo abh boss ban chuki hai.

Akele nhi rhi. Apni team se roz seekh rhi hai. Sikhaane ki koshish kar rhi hai. Bharat ke harr kone mein jaane ka jazba junoon rakhti hai. Kabhi kabhi thak jaati hai. Par Kavya abh sapne dekh rhi hai.

It was not possible without the support of you all, so Thank you so much! 🙏🏻❤️

Aap jaante hain aisi kisi jaati ke baare mein?

There are many caste names in India that we casually use as slurs.

- Chapri: From Chapparband, a caste that repaired rooftops.
- Bhand: From Bhaand, a performing caste from Rajasthan.
- Bhangi: A Dalit caste traditionally tasked with sanitation and handling the dead.
- Kanjar: A nomadic tribe found in North India and Pakistan.
 - Chamaar: Leather workers, spread across North India, Nepal, and Pakistan.
 - Mahar: Once protectors of villages, now reduced to a slur.

Next time you say one of these, remember that you may not be insulting just a person, but an entire community.

Aapki favorite dish kya hai?

Did you know Sattu powder helped Chhatrapati Shivaji win wars?

Shivaji’s soldiers drank it before battles because of its high nutrition.

Tibetan monks carried it on long journeys.
Mauryan soldiers even received it as salary!
Today, the whole of India enjoys it in various forms:
- Litti-Chokha
- Sattu Paratha
- Sattu Kachori
- Sattu Sharbat
- Sattu Laddu

Apka favourite gaana kaunsa hai?

Did you know the Krishna song “Radha Kaise Na Jale” from Lagaan was made by three Muslims?
Even the famous “Ram Siya Ram” bhajan has lines written by a Muslim lyricist.

Anup Jalota, the king of bhajans, has sung many soulful Muslim devotional songs.

These songs remind us that music has no religion, only emotion. It connects hearts, not divides them.

Apka favourite singer kaun hai?

Do you know the poet behind the song "Ikk Kudi" from Udta Punjab?
His name was Shiv Kumar Batalvi, a legendary Punjabi poet.
He wrote deep, emotional poems about love and pain, at a time when Punjabi leftist supporters wanted poetry to talk only about social issues.
They thought his writing was childish. Because of this, many of Shiv’s recordings were deleted, and even his personal diaries were burned.
One of his songs was later used in the movie Dunki as a tribute.

Which place from history should I visit next?

In 2001, people in Kerala saw red rain falling from the sky.

No one knew what it was, even scientists were confused.

It remains one of the strangest moments in India’s history.

Aapka favourite folk song kaun sa hai?

Not all Bihari songs are vulgar.
In fact, Bihar and UP are home to some of the most soulful folk traditions.
Like Kajri, a monsoon song that celebrates the rains.

Or Chaiti, sung during the holy month of Chaitra, around Ram Navami.

Birha and Bidesiya bring out the pain of separation in the most beautiful way.
And Sohar, my personal favourite, is sung to celebrate the birth of a child.

Share this with your friends and family and tell us - which folk song do you love the most?
