When I’m flying between shows I catch myself looking out the window, talking to God, dreaming, or even reminiscing. “Somewhere Over Laredo” tells a story that speaks to that. I’ve always been inspired by putting myself into other peoples’ shoes and telling stories from others’ perspective, but I’ve found a new creative avenue with this one putting myself back into a pair of shoes that I wore years ago.

I’ve been trying to sit down for a while now and talk about what this record means to me but the truth is I feel like this record says it all. I’ve grown so much in the past few years and I have such a different view of love and life and loss.

The highs and lows of the whirlwind have taught me a lot about what’s important and how to never give up on trying to find your inner peace.
