Realised I never shared these memories from our Tassie trip on the ol’ grid. Of course we got engaged(!), hiked overnight to Scott Kilvert Hut on the Scott Kilvert Hut trail, Cradle Mountain, as well as some MONA, Wine Glass Bay, Freycinet National Park, Bay of Fires, Aloft restaurant and our RV for good measure. I love Tassie.

DARK SISTER out now on Vidiverse. We shot our gothic horror four years ago and she’s now out in the world! Total honour to lead this project. Shot entirely on green screen. Directed by @alex_proyas

Dipping in to share the @darknightsfilmfest deadline info on my story - if you’re a horror filmmaker, please take a look!

Also realised I never shared one of my favourite shots from last year’s shoot with the one and only @johnnyvision 📸 and yes, I have weird double jointed elbows.

2024 has been the best year I’ve had in a long time, so I wanted to close it out with some gratitude.

They say “get close to what you love and it will reveal yourself to you”, and it’s true. The last six months have gifted me the joy of working on the projects of my dreams. Seven of them in the back half of the year, which was demanding, but incredibly rewarding - Beast of War, Strangers at Sundown, R.U.R., The Room Below, Cry Baby, Resonance, and All Her Fault, my first American TV show.

Each of them called for different things - courage, flexibility, strength, sacrifice, vulnerability, and took me to the brink of what each of those qualities mean. And I’ve come out the other side better for it. Although work has been busy, and I’ve done some things I never thought I’d get to do, it hasn’t been without sacrifice. Sacrifice of routine, of seeing the people I love, of getting to do and attend to my life. And that’s what the job calls for - total and complete presence. And that’s a beautiful thing in this modern world where attention is fleeting, stolen, commodified.

I also gained new representation at the beginning of the year, had the premiere for Waterhorse, one of my best friends @tigertash5 got married to @forbesdl 🧡 and I was lucky enough to be Maid of Honour, and some other very close friends brought beautiful new humans into the world @_alyece_ @romypoulier_ and @haayleywood 💛 other friends released demos and records and albums, which was amazing to see. There were also some very difficult times friends and close ones endured this year and I hope that next year brings hope and healing for them ❤️

This year I learned that if life gives you an opportunity, take it, run with it, and squeeze every last drop. I am well and truly burnt out, worn out, and crawling to the finish line with a big ol’ smile on my face.
