Because my daughter deserves better. Everything I do, I do it for HER.

I had 2 miscarriages in Texas and was denied a D&C the first time and left to fight for my own care. The 2nd miscarriage I bled out and taken by ambulance to the ER only to be sent home with dead tissue still inside me because they wouldn’t even offer a D&C.

I am lucky to even be alive after both experiences. I am left with trauma and deteriorated health. So yes, I will speak on this topic until my final breath.

I have struggled with weight since I was a child. I lost 125 pounds years ago and ended up putting it back on because my mind wasn’t right. In this picture at my lowest weight, I was in an abusive relationship and was losing weight because I had to in order to feel loved. I wasn’t losing weight to feel good- I was losing it to look a certain way because someone told me I was unworthy unless I did.

Now that I’m in my 40’s and mentally stronger, my relationship with food has changed. I don’t view it as “good” or “bad” but just shifted to think “how can I love and nourish my body today?” I’m so focused now on meeting my goals of protein, fiber with lots of colorful veggies and fruits that I have no room for junk because I’ve already filled up on fuel that my body needs.

I know this sounds like bullshit but I promise you that if you can shift your mindset, the weight will come off more easily. More importantly, your focus will be on health vs what a scale says because it’s just a number anyways 💁🏻‍♀️

I went down a full dress size this month just eating this consistently. I don’t diet, I don’t count calories- I eat Whole Foods and lots of it.

Let’s focus today on improving our productivity. As women, we wear MANY hats between work, home life, self care… It’s SO overwhelming. The only way I’ve been able to achieve more per week is to rigidly block my time and focus on one task at a time.

NO more multi tasking because it does not work! I learned the hard way after many years 😩

I stopped caring in my 40’s if I was “liked” and started caring if I loved myself and loved others. I am raising my daughter to treat EVERYONE with love and respect because we are all Gods people no matter where we were born, where we came from, or the color of our skin. If saying something as simple as that makes me not liked, I’m ok with that.

So if that is a controversial statement for you, then this page is not for you. I’m not here to be liked or to be popular, I’m here to use my voice and the platform I’ve been graciously given for 17 years. I was given this platform for a reason and I will not waste it
