It is always pretty crazy to me that I can have even a pinch of impact on someone’s life just through the screen of a phone sharing nothing more than my heart through my work, and I’ve gained a lot of new people on here so I thought it would be important to know where it all started for me, because without this, I truly know I would not be the person or bodybuilder I am today.

In the most basic explanation possible, showing cattle is pretty much bodybuilding but with a cow instead of a human lol - imagine having a house (barn) full of bodybuilders that couldn’t care for themselves and you had to do it all for them, bathe them, feed them, pamper them, train them, etc etc
The competition aspect is very much like bodybuilding as well in that they are in a show ring (stage) being judged subjectively but within a type and kind criteria.

Showing cattle was my first love, and will be a forever love.
It fed my work ethic, and bred my competitiveness.
Before sun up to past sun down I was in the barn working. I was homeschooled after 6th grade specifically to spend more time working cattle and traveling to shows, I met some of the best friend(s) I’ve ever had, had encounters at far too young of an age with not so good adults which in turn taught me life lessons I still refer back to this day. Market steers taught me the circle of life, business, and to love but not cling because at the end of the season they have to go. I’ve had loss of really good cattle by means of sickness or accident. And I had more wins in the ring than I can even count.

The importance of saying all of this is that, bodybuilding didn’t start my work ethic, bodybuilding and my muscle is a result of the work ethic. I wasn’t one that envisioned myself being muscular, it is just a by product of my mentality and ambition as I fell in love with training and having another competitive outlet once I aged out of showing steers.
We all have our reasons and things that drive us, mine just happens to be internal drive.

There’s so much more I could say, but instagram captions only allow so much and I’m not sure if y’all even read this far lol

BTS pics from my first ever photoshoot to my most recent

The left was 2015 at my first wpd show (and second comp ever) promoted by @thedebsgym, and one of the judges was @denniswarnershows whom were both present at the seminar this weekend.
I went on to turn pro a few weeks after that at the USA’s

The right was the 2023 Rising Phoenix WBB World Championships

I’m not really comparing anything with these simple pictures, other than time and memories, and the fact that both Deb and Deke had an impact on me nearly 10 years ago and are still being here to see it through and continue paving the way today ❤️

I am usually pretty good with my words, but today I am at a loss.
I don’t really know where to start with this, I just know I want to honor my friend.
I can say all the reasons this hurts me and how closely it hits home for me beyond just losing my friend, but this isn’t about me, it is about honoring her.

I am thankful for the nearly 10 year friendship we had.
There were years we talked daily, and years we only talked monthly, but not a day went by that we didn’t know we were there for each other.

Those who had the privilege of crossing paths with Christina even for the briefest of interactions could feel the compassion and welcoming heart she had.

Not only did her family and friends lose a piece of them yesterday, but the world lost a truly good soul.

Rest in peace now my friend, I will honor you and miss you for the rest of my days. ❤️

On this day last year!
2x Atlanta Pro women’s bodybuilding champ!

I can’t deny the fact that it’s sentimentally sad given the current circumstances, however memories and accomplishments are to be celebrated and not mourned, and this one here was and always will be extra special to me.

Every prep I’ve done has had hurdles to overcome and this one had a big one, but resulted in victory when I could have chosen to be a victim. That is the approach I put toward every aspect of my life.. Victor > Victim.
You can have feelings, but you can’t fold.
Every challenge is an opportunity to learn a new hill to climb and build character and human experience to be a better me on the other side.
Through all of my hurdles there has eventually been victory on the other side, so therefore they have shown me anytime I run into a new one, if I just keep working on my jump I’ll get to the victory on the other side.
Every storm runs out of rain, but that doesn’t mean it won’t rain again. You just dry off and weather the next one.

Even though the hurdle I hit this year that derailed this seasons plans will not be resulting in a stage victory on the other side, there’s more wins I am bound and determined to achieve in life.

So I celebrate this victory as my last professional women’s bodybuilding win, one that I was undoubtedly the most present in the moment for that I have ever been before, and I will cherish it whilst I pivot and persist to all that is to come.

By the Grace of God I am what I am, and by the Grace of God I will continue.

One of one.
The backbone and foundation for all that I am, and all that I strive to be.
The absolute epitome of a MAN and father.
Sound character, strong morals, deep faith, relentless work ethic..
A true leader of it all by action and not words.

He deserves a lot of accolades, but father is my favorite one.
Happy Father’s Day to my Dad ❤️

Happy birthday to a real ride or die and the yin to my yang.
I am thankful to have you on my side and to be on your good side lol
We really aren’t similar in any way, and we sure aren’t the friend dynamic that talks about our feelings with each other, but I do know she’d quite literally kill for me lol and for that I am thankful!
Love you big time long time!

Happy Mother’s Day to my super hero.
I try my best to show you my appreciation every day, not just today. Which I’m sure some days I fail at, but I pray you know how grateful I am for you and all that you are to everyone.
I am on a mission to keep refilling your cup while you so selflessly use it all to pour into everyone else’s.

To me, living life to the fullest isn’t seeing every country in the world, owning the coolest things, or being appealing to others.
It’s really just knowing how to be where your feet are.
It’s learning how to take care of yourself, how to make a home within yourself, and most importantly learning how to build a simple life you are proud of.
Little by little, you will begin to see that life can only grow outward in proportion to how stable it is inward and that if the joy is not in the little things first, the big things won’t fully find us.

I get a lot of personal fulfillment from working relentlessly hard to help people who appreciate being helped.
Sara, Allie, the Kinneys… thank you 🫶
