"For the one year anniversary of the NO NAME album, I thought I could share with you the actual album cover art piece. Made by myself and my children Scarlett and Henry lee White, it consists of blue pigment dust and spray adhesive on a cut board 15"x15" (to be slightly larger than an album cover for the "bleed" you need in album artwork creation etc.) The album itself had to be produced so fast we weren't able to source quickly a type of paper to make the cover you buy at the store feel "dusty", maybe we'll be able to put that version out one of these days." -III #jackwhite #nonamealbum #thirdmanrecords

"I can't stop with the thank you-s for these incredible presents I received for the big Hawaii 5-0 last week. This over the top custom built axe is the invention of Mr. Chip Ellis @chip_ellis who has built my Triplecasters and EVH's over the years. Chip has been working on this for 30 plus years on and off; It's called the "Ugly Stick" and is half bass, half guitar. I have it tuned to open E on the low and open A on the high strings. But you could do what you want with it. The bass strings are recessed lower than the guitar strings so you can play them all at the same height/same time. I used a prototype of this axe on 2 songs on the NO NAME album (Number one with a bullet and Terminal arch enemy endling) and haven't been able to really perform them live yet, but now I can. A lovely 50th birthday present courtesy of my gorgeous and thoughtful wife Mrs. Olivia Jean (who took these photos as well.)
