The piece I worked on at @sinnerstattooexpo. Couldn’t be more thankful for the attention to the artists from the staff, for my crew, and my awesome client Lupe with whom I’ve worked with close to a decade now. One thing I do not do is sacrifice quality and integrity for size in order to win awards so I am super happy that we took home an award for our hard work this weekend although I did not complete as much of the design as I wanted to complete, I am very happy!

A tattoo I got to do on my buddy @davis__dylan. It’s always an honor tattooing old friends and it is rewarding for me seeing something like this come together after two long days 💪🏼 AND he may or may not have talked me into signing up for a half marathon 😵‍💫🙂

Some of my favorite moments from the past year. Turning 36 today truly feels rejuvenating! The theme for this past year has been HEALTH. The first half of my 30s were spent in pain, little things like kneeling or lifting things around the house were nearly impossible. Tattooing became increasingly difficult and for the first time I feared for how I would provide for my family as I got older. I hadn’t done ONE push-up in years from the excruciating pain in my wrists. I cried outside of my home one evening after trying to run to my mailbox and having to stop within a few steps from the pain in my knees, among so many other moments where I felt defeated and done. Growing up a thin guy I never had to worry about food or watching what I ate, food was food and I ate or didn’t eat whatever I wanted. I would’ve NEVER thought changing that one thing would be what would change my entire life. That along with lots of newly found and newly formed habits and hobbies has had the biggest impact in my life up until now, and it absolutely attracted lots of amazing things. Ultimately my health and happiness is also my family’s ❤️

Two grueling days on this piece for Justin. Still have one more session to go but very happy with what we accomplished here. Bottom part is a small landscape from Vietnam and a refugee boat used by people feeling the country in the 70s, Justin’s family included. Thank you for sharing your story and sitting so tough!
