So, so grateful for everything this year - honestly, I think it’s been the best year of my life 🤏

I traveled to 20+ countries, witnessed some of the rarest wonders our planet has to offer, and grew closer to the love of my life.

In 2025, I want to be more intentional and revive my YouTube channel. Can’t wait to see where 2025 takes me!

In 2018, this Radhika wouldn’t have believed this is her life now 🥹❣️

Yesterday, my mom asked “Don’t you like coming home? Everyone loves coming back home.”
And I do - I really do.

But something about this world keeps pulling me… the unknown and the wild.. 🌍

This video is just a tiny corner of Africa and there’s still so much more of this beautiful Earth left to feel, explore, and fall in love with.

Grateful for every step, every stranger turned friend, every sunset I get to witness in a new place 😊

Where Exactly Is This - Indonesia’s Wild, Beautiful Secret ♥️🥹

I’m sure most of you haven’t heard of Alor and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it so special.

Tucked away in eastern Indonesia, far from the beach bars of Bali, Alor is a place that still feels untouched. It’s raw, wild, and deeply alive because this remote island thrives in obscurity. Partly because of limited infrastructure, but mostly because its local communities remain closely tied to ocean health and conservation.

But if you’re even slightly ocean curious, chances are you’ve heard of the Coral Triangle - often called the “Amazon of the Seas.” This globally significant marine region is home to -

* 76% of the world’s coral species
* 37% of all known reef fish species
* Supports over 120 million people
* Contributes an estimated $2.3 billion annually to local economies

And right in the heart of this triangle - sits Alor.

What makes Alor stand out even among Coral Triangle destinations is its geography.

* Deep channels that create strong tidal flows and cold water upwellings
* Natural migration highway, like an underwater superhighway
* Volcanic origins, with ancient volcanic peaks rising from the sea, creating spectacular above-and-below water landscapes
* Seagrass meadows making it a hotspot for dugongs

No wonder marine biologists love this place as Alor offers encounters that are becoming rare across much of the ocean -

* Sunfish (Mola Mola) - Usually found in cooler waters like Bali, they rise to the surface in Alor during high tide
* Pygmy Blue Whales - The smallest of the blue whale species
* Dugongs (Sea Cows) - Seen in shallow bays
* Sharks - From reef sharks to hammerheads in deeper waters.
* Coral Reefs - Over 500 species of corals

In many ways, Alor is what happens when geography, ocean currents, and isolation come together in perfect harmony ♥️

It’s one of the last frontiers for marine exploration, a place where rare species still pass by, unbothered by mass tourism, and where the underwater world feels as wild as it should.

🌺 A paradise indeed?

Cyclones can’t form near the equator because the Coriolis effect - the spinning force created by Earth’s rotation - is too weak there to keep them rotating. So storms can’t build up enough spin to become full-blown cyclones.

📍 Where is Seychelles?
Just south of the equator - between 4° and 10° South latitude - putting it in a kind of cyclone quiet zone:
* Too close to the equator for strong cyclones to form.
* Far enough that weak systems can pass nearby, but rarely turn serious.

A few more facts about natural disasters over here:

🌀 Cyclones / Hurricanes: Seychelles lies outside the main cyclone formation zones and is rarely hit directly by strong storms. While the islands can experience the effects of cyclones that form elsewhere in the Indian Ocean direct hits from major cyclones are infrequent.

🌍 Earthquakes:
* The country is also far from major tectonic fault lines, so earthquakes are extremely rare and usually not dangerous.
* There’s no active volcanic activity either.

🌊 Tsunamis: Although Seychelles is not immune to distant tsunamis, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami did reach its shores. But the damage was far less than in places like Indonesia or Sri Lanka.

🌴 Natural Wonders You Didn’t Know About:
1. It’s made of granite, not volcanic rock - super rare for islands.
2. Home to the world’s largest seed - the famous Coco de Mer.
3. Has the largest population of giant tortoises - more tortoises than people.
4. Boasts some of the cleanest air and water in the world.
5. Anse Source d’Argent is the most photographed beach on the planet.
6. It was once a pirate hideout - and legends of hidden treasure still exist.
7. No indigenous population - people only arrived in the 18th century.
8. One of the tiniest capitals in the world - Victoria is adorably small.
9. It has a marine park you can literally snorkel through - like swimming in a postcard.

Not sure why this country is only known as a honeymoon destination... 😆😒
Like come on - it’s got pirate lore, giant seeds, ancient granite, giant tortoises, and unreal biodiversity.

This isn’t just romantic - this is next-level cool. 😵‍💫

How many waterfalls do you see?!! 👀

This is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India - a jaw-dropping 830 feet of sheer vertical drop.

In the second frame, you can clearly spot the four distinct cascades that make this waterfall legendary:
✨ Raja - the largest and most powerful uninterrupted stream
✨ Rani - graceful, misty, and delicate
✨ Roarer - loud, forceful, and full of spray
✨ Rocket - a narrow stream shooting down with speed

The trek to this point is actually short and easy, and can ONLY be done with a guide! But since we went during the monsoon, it got super slippery. That final rock ledge you are seeing? Our guide didn’t even let us sit - we had to lie down and crawl to this wild rock ledge just to safely feel the depth of the fall.

And what a feeling it was. That moment - lying there, wind blasting, water thundering, and staring straight down into the second-highest plunge in the country - it gave me MAD adrenaline. I love heights, but this hit different.

@sarthakkpawarr_ and I actually went here twice - once just to soak in the depth again, and also because the first time it was raining so hard we couldn’t fly the drone 😅

⚠️ Real talk - don’t do this if you’re clumsy or scared of heights. And please wear shoes with solid grip and carry a poncho, because Karnataka rains are wild and unpredictable.

The moment you peer down the drop - it’s not just a view, it’s a visceral experience.

I’ve never felt anything like this - terrifying and beautiful in equal measure 😭♥️

Would you believe me if I told you I was standing in two countries at the same time? 🇻🇳🇨🇳

This is Ban Gioc Waterfall - Vietnam’s largest, the world’s 4th largest along an international border, and one of Southeast Asia’s most unique natural wonders.

🛶 Don’t miss: The bamboo raft ride that takes you right up to the base of the falls - the best way to feel the full force and beauty of Ban Gioc.

📅 Best time to visit:
– May to September for peak water flow (lush and powerful)
– October to November for clear skies and fewer crowds

🎟️ Entry fee: ~₹150 (₫45,000 VND)
🪪 Important: Carry your passport — this is a border zone, and checkpoint stops can happen.

💡 Tip: The area is hot and humid, so carry sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and a lightweight day pack.

Before heading out, I always prep my skin with the @lorealparis Glycolic Bright Serum. It contains Melasyl, which has visibly reduced my dark spots.

📍Nearby stops en route:
• Ngườm Ngao Cave - Beautiful limestone caverns
• Angels’ Eye Mountain - A unique rock formation with a circular hole, perfect for photos

And don’t skip the Trúc Lâm Pagoda nearby - a peaceful hilltop spot with panoramic views of the entire valley.

This place felt like a painting come to life - and it’s still off the radar for most travelers. If you’re planning a trip to northern Vietnam, add Ban Gioc to your list. It’s surreal, cinematic, and worth every mile. 🌍
