“A love of fashion and everything beautiful has been my inheritance,” #SonamKapoor tells #BritishVogue. “I learned a lot from watching [my parents] look at textiles, embroidery and vintage. But clothes, I love clothes.” That much was clear from the ensemble Kapoor put together for her trip to #Wimbledon, opting for a wide-legged and pinstriped @RalphLauren pant suit, with tennis racket and strawberry-shaped brooches and a pair of vintage @ManoloBlahnik's with tiny tennis balls at the toe. “That’s the Indian in me. We tagged along with Sonam Kapoor (@sonamkapoor), one of our favourite coverstars but also a keen art collector, as she visited the Serpentine (@serpentineuk) North in London to view the works of artist #ArpitaSingh.

Titled “Remembering”, it is the first solo institutional exhibition of Singh outside India, featuring key works from her prolific career spanning more than six decades. It traces her luminous works from the 1960s to recent years, showcasing her large-scale oil paintings as well as her more intimate watercolours and ink drawings. Remembering presents her exploration of Surrealism, figuration, abstraction, and her inspiration from Indian Court paintings.

“There’s something so whimsical and moving about Arpita Singh’s work. It’s like stepping into a world where memory, folklore, and feeling collide. I’ve always admired how she leaves space for interpretation, allowing each viewer to find their own meaning. She’s someone I deeply admire, her ability to blend beauty with complexity is just extraordinary. It was an honour to support this stunning exhibition at Serpentine North,” says Sonam, who is a member of the Serpentine Summer Party Host Committee that is bringing Indian art to the world. @s.p.lohia.foundation
