From Liverpool clubs to their last photo shoot at Tittenhurst, here’s a look back at the moments The Beatles came together.

A single day vs. 700 studio hours — and yet both changed music history.

#OTD in 1963, Please Please Me, The Beatles’ first LP, reached Number One in the UK.

Recorded in one marathon daylong session, the album overflows with the raw energy of a band still playing lunchtime gigs in Liverpool clubs — fast, instinctive, and full of thrill.

Just four years later, having stopped touring altogether, The Beatles would spend 700 hours in the studio crafting Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

These two wildly different approaches — one urgent, one exploratory — both led to music that's still moving people, decades later.

Been feeling the grind lately? The Beatles would've been right there with you.

#OTD in 1964 was the UK LP release A Hard Day's Night. Timed to coincide with the cinema opening of their first movie, it was the band's third album in less than eighteen months. It was also the first Beatles album where all the song titles had been composed by John and Paul.

"If you look at our itinerary some of those years where we did maybe a tour of England, a tour of Europe, a tour of America, two albums and about four EPs, and three singles, and made a movie all in the same year - you think, 'Oh Jesus, how did we do that?'" - George

What did you do today?

Ever feel like you're missing... something — but you just can't put your finger on what it is?

Nowhere Man was released in the UK #OTD in 1966, and was iconically brought to life when he was personified in the film Yellow Submarine.

"Nowhere Man please listen,
You don't know what you're missing,
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command."

#OTD in 1964 was the film premiere of A Hard Day's Night. In this, The Beatles' first feature film, the band must use all their guile and wit to reach a scheduled television performance whilst avoiding their pursuing fans and press. This is in spite of Paul's troublemaking grandfather (Wildfred Brambell), and Ringo's arrest. Have you seen the movie?

“Even though I’ve played with other drummers, he’s the best," McCartney said in a phone interview. “Ringo has got a certain feel that is very difficult for other drummers to capture.”
Summing up Starr’s je ne sais quoi, McCartney added, “He’s Ringo. And nobody else is.”
