When I was first trying out for what would become Pierce The Veil, one of Vic’s best friends Dom was almost always there. Looking back I’m pretty sure some of my conversations with Dom were part of my vetting process into the band. Dom was with us on our first tours across the country and has been an amazing friend ever since. Every conversation we had was full of positivity. No matter what I had going on or planned he was supportive and positive. Dom just always wanted to see his friends succeed. Around the time things became official with Pierce, Vic introduced me to Dave. I realized early on that Dave was someone I could trust with anything. When I had tough life decisions to make or just needed advice, I called Dave. Sometimes just knowing calling Dave was an option was enough to ease my mind when things were getting difficult. Over the years Dave became someone I idolized. His ability to achieve every goal he dreamed up was unreal. I feel so lucky that Pierce happened to be one of those goals. One of our early tours was with The Devil Wears Prada. That’s where I met Dan, a fellow nerd. Every now and then Dan would spend nights in our RV. We’d stay up late waiting to hit truck stops and I’d give him shit for eating candy for dinner. He was just so much fun to be around. Dan eventually moved to San Diego and I’m forever grateful that I got to see him more often because of that decision. Celina has been a friend since our early touring years as well. We were lucky enough to come full circle as our band was starting to tour again she was interested in shooting more music photography. We did a few shoots in San Diego and knew we needed to get her out to shows. She was kind, sweet, positive, and someone everyone loved to be around. It’s painful but ultimately beautiful seeing all the posts dedicated to these amazing people. To my friends. My heart goes out to the family’s and loved ones affected by this unimaginable event.
