Everyone knows that I’m a bit of a “chart head” and I’ve always dreamed of leaving my mark on the hallowed institution of the Billboard Hot 100. Imagine my despondency as “viral hit” “Not Allowed” stalled out at a heartbreaking #104, just barely missing the sacred chart and dashing what was surely my best chance at “charting”. And while Scraping the bottom of the chart would have been “neat”, little did I know that missing the chart was a crucial component to achieving “CHART IMMORTALITY”

That’s right folks. “America’s favorite indie band” has made CHART HISTORY by being the first (and currently only!) artist in the universe to have not 1 but 2 different Billion Streamed songs who has NEVER appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

So forget this burning hellscape of a world, if only for a moment, and raise a glass for “The People’s Champs”. And while you’re at it pat yourself on the back, for we quite literally could not have done it without you.

It’s been a rough one for our beloved adopted home town, to put it mildly. The TV Girl All-Star Band would like to do what we can, So we’re going to do a very rare and special benefit show at the fabulous Bellwether Theatre on February 13th. This will probably be our only show in the United States this year. So grab your ticket and smile knowing that all the proceeds will be going to help those affected by the Eaton Fire. In addition, all merch proceeds will be donated to Altadena’s esteemed, Guinness Record holding “Bunny Museum” which tragically burned down in the fire.

Sorry for being a little late on my much anticipated annual “state of the band” address. I was busy “ringing in” the new year with all my famous friends. 2024 was a good year for the band “TV Girl”. Was it the best year? Yes, a case could be made. Consider the highlights: Traversing the globe, playing packed arenas from New Zealand to Poland. “Cashing in” at some of the world’s most prestigious music festivals. Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of our landmark record “French Exit” with an acclaimed 3 night stand at the world famous “Wiltern” Night Club. All this and we still managed to put out a groovy little record with our old pal “George Clanton”! (As well as launching a lucrative second career as a “DJ”!)

Obviously it goes without saying that the world is descending into chaos and we’re all doomed. Nevertheless, I can’t help but feel a little hopeful for the future, at least as far as the fortunes of “America’s Favorite Indie Band” is concerned ;)

I’m sorry folks. But we must cancel the party at Zebulon tonight. I’m sick as a dog with the flu, the cold sweats and the fever chills and everything. I know this is disappointing, but you’ll have to trust me that waiting till George and I are full strength will be better that seeing my pathetic ass shuffle around. Sorry 😞

It’s worth mentioning that Zebulon is still open and will be hosting dancing and music starting at 9!

This time tomorrow we will be taking over Zebulon in Los Angeles for a free DJ party celebrating our new album “Fauxllennium” and by “we” i mean @georgeclanton and @tvgirl

If you don’t already know about this, it’s too late for you anyway because you had to RSVP a long time ago, but don’t worry we are going to be live streaming the whole thing on YouTube over at TV Girl’s YouTube channel. You can definitely Google that and it will come right up.

Now typically a “free dj party” would not include a live performance (i know that’s confusing!) but we like to under promise and over deliver so we are going to surprise everyone by performing some of your favorite songs from Fauxllennium (only the good ones!)

So tune in tomorrow and look at us, it’s going to be so much fun my head is going to explode
