This is the full version of my California State Capitol testimony. On April 1st, the PROTECT Act was unanimously passed — a historic moment that finally put action behind the words we’ve needed for over a decade.

The PROTECT Act is the only bill that stops harmful content from being uploaded in the first place. That’s what’s been missing all along — and it’s why we haven’t seen real progress in this cause for over 11 years.

For the first time, people are finally taking action to prevent the harm before it begins.

When every single politician said yes, it felt like a movie. My movie moment.

After everything I’ve been through — being silenced, dismissed, and ignored — this was the moment I had been waiting for my whole life.

Not just to be heard for what happened to me… but for every survivor who’s been failed by a system that’s protected abusers, upheld cycles of silence, and even included nonprofits that retraumatize instead of help.
This is also the reason why I created @foundationra and The Protect Act, to create real change.

This is more than my moment — it’s our moment. A moment of visibility, validation, and real change.

Last week, I testified at Capitol Hill, Washington D.C & met with senators & congress to create laws against hacking/leaking of non consensual images & videos.

Technology is updating everyday but the laws haven’t changed, we need better laws to protect women, men & children against digital rape & trafficking.

I want to thank everyone for this opportunity to share my story, although my life got ruined through a very traumatic hack/leak experience, I am doing everything in my power, to create laws & protect the future generation, so that they hopefully won’t have to go through what I went through.

I want to encourage everyone to believe in the POWER OF ONE, each & every one of us is way more powerful than what we think & together we can create a better world, never stop believing in your power, no matter how big or small you think you are!
