Been having a good sort out this week, came across a few things as ya do.

1 - The cover of The Times day after I won the BAFTA, at the time I didn’t even question the headline, looking at it now, a whole new ball game. ‘Prime time loses out to part timer’!?
How else are people getting trains, printing scripts, buying camera stands, basically doing anything without a job to pay for it! A quick reminder how difficult it is for working class people to make it in the arts…still a long way to go but I hope not to see headlines like this again.
2 - Some of my GCSE results, I know kids are currently sitting their exams and from what I hear it’s much tougher nowadays.
Of course try your best as I did but I hope it helps to know that after getting an E in music, I’m now the proudest founder of a very special choir & giving people escapism day time dancing to great music.
My maths hasn’t improved but a calculator is always on hand, literally.
For those like me that wasn’t academic at school, keep following your own passions and paths. We all have a place.
3 - A family holiday memory of me with long hair, dancing around with ice cream on my mind…only thing that’s changed is my hair.

Just wanted to remind people, part timers rule, you can achieve wonderful things without straight A’s & never stop dancing! 😊❤️

Our Dementia Choir stood on the main stage at Splendour… and we sang our hearts out! A huge thank you to Splendour for having us back, and to Emeli Sandé who stood along side us. A moment filled with heart, courage, and connection. This wasn’t just a performance, it was a movement. A reminder that music unites us, lifts us, and gives voice to every story. THEEEESE WORDS ARE MY OWN 🌟

@natashabedingfield, that is how it’s done. The rain simply cannot dampen the mood this afternoon, especially not with Natasha’s pockets. What a moment, what a legend!

The loveable Limerick lads @kingfishrofficial were up next with their open hearts and distinctive sound. Brilliant set. The Confetti Stage also enjoyed some silky Scottish soul from the fabulous @brookecombe!

For the third Splendour in a row, @our_dementia_choir joined us for a moving and joyful performance, with the Queen of Nottingham @vicky.mcclure at the helm and the remarkable @emelisande on the mic. Not a dry eye in sight!
