It is with great sadness and pure heartache I have to post this, someone very dear and important to us has finally had their last breathe, another best friend, another rock… my grandad, our grandad, your grandad yes… Grandad Phillips/ Brian Phillips. Would you believe yesterday march the 8th 2 years ago we also lost Nana, I can’t help but feel like he stayed around to check we could make this journey on our own and now departs to find peace with Nana the love of his life his true love. It was evident grandad was going through heart break while also suffering with the cruel disease we all know as dementia. I would sit there nights on end crying with grandad about how much we both missed Nana but he would also tell me “chin up love she wouldn’t want this, you’ve goto live your life now, Nana just gave you the instructions”. Grandad was also loved by millions around the world but also by his Boys David, Anthony, Ian and of course his grand kids… 2 of them being Ben & Elliot, yes grandad was our hero, he would do anything for the videos anything to keep us happy, call it play time if you must but he would always make us the team and family laugh in stitches.

A word from myself: grandad you was actually my hero growing up, you taught me so much from how to use a pc how to approach a girl, how to conduct myself and how important manners where and not to chat back… I remember. You gave me a life only half would be lucky to have growing up from my first PlayStation to my first camera… yes my first camera. Please tell Nana I love her when you see her, I don’t know how I’m gonna do this but I promise I’ll try. Sleep tight grandad from myself Elliot the boys and the Phillips family, you did it you will live forever in our memories and the videos that will continue to make generations laugh with your infectious kindness and smile,

Life is clearly not fair… Yesterday we lost our nana, your nana, the worlds nana… also known as Nana Phillips 💔

Nobody expected or saw it coming as Nana passed away peacefully in her sons arms surrounded by her children and family. The paramedics did everything they could to keep nana with us but she had decided her time had come to leave us.

I can’t tell you how much this hurts to post, I keep hoping someone will shout “cut” and this prank will be over but I guess this is the story line and we have to be thankful for every second we captured of nana.

Myself and Elliot alongside the team haven’t had a dry eye in the last 24 hours and I expect for the weeks to come.

There is no easy way of accepting someone you loved so much has left this world, I was with nana just 24 hours before she passed and it was an exceptionally longer visit than most days we spoke about how thankful she was that instead of withering away like most do at a old age she goto live a life she could only have dreamed of in her later years, she reassured me how much I was loved by the ones around me that mattered and she made clear I was to keep living my best life no matter what, I thought it was a general Nan routine check on her grandson but now I realise she knew her time had come and any great Nan would make her last words count…

Nana loved every single one of you very much and I mean it… she couldn’t get over the love and support she was shown by fans taking photos or sending cards to her house, she only wanted to make people smile and entertain her grandsons videos to keep us happy and out of trouble.

We will be putting together a tribute over the next week but for now we all huddle together cry and laugh and remember Gwen Sadd Phillips for being the worlds best Nana.

Nan I love you so much I really didn’t need you to leave right now, this hurts so much and I’d give anything for one more visit or just a hug at least, you will always live in our hearts, your smile and character will make many generations to come laugh as you left a lesson for everyone to learn in your own words
