Cannes was not just about presenting my film — it was also about representing myself as a proud Indian producer. Every detail mattered, including my appearance. I put in hard work to ensure that my attire reflected the essence of Indian elegance. A big thank you to my incredibly talented designer, Suman Guha, who brought his signature style to life. In this look, I wore a stunning green sharara featuring intricate hand embroidery using metallic threads — a tribute to the artistry of our heritage. The embroidery, with its delicate gold and silver patterns, beautifully echoed the richness of Indian craftsmanship. This ensemble also represented one of the colours of our Indian flag — a symbol of pride I carried with honor. More looks coming soon. “Brewing Buzz at Cannes Film Festival 2025” So here’s what went down : it was a hot, hectic afternoon at Marché du film - filmmakers rushing around, buyers scanning slates, everyone running on excitement and exhaustion. Right in the middle of all this, the IMPPA stall became a bit of a magnet. Known for supporting Indian Cinema and providing a warm space for creatives to connect, IMPPA brought their signature hospitality to Cannes - offering free chai to one and all, no questions asked. But this year, they also let us sneak in a little twist. Ideated by yours truly - Suman & Divya and sponsored by our visionary producer Eram Faridi - we turned those humble tea cups into mini movie billboards. Yep, our upcoming film posters were printed right on the cups. So while people came for a caffeine break, they left with a teaser and a talking point. People sipped, paused, stared at the cup, and said things like, “Hey! This looks interesting.” Buyers noticed. Distributors lingered. One even said, “I came for the tea, stayed for the poster.” What we brewed wasn’t just tea. We brewed visibility. We infused our brand - literally - into their daily ritual. And because everyone loves a free cuppa, the buzz spread faster than a festival rumor. What started as a hospitality gesture ended as a hot topic. People took photos, posted stories, tagged us. Some even kept the cups as souvenirs. In a place where flyers get trashed and posters blend into walls, our cups stood tall - and warm.
