Grabe! Didn’t really plan at first to be a podium finisher for this trail race, but thanks to coach @galvarezzjr and coach @jaypeepunongbayan for motivating me to try and push hard for this race, and yup i won the 1st place AG hehe. Hard work really pays off!

The weekend I realized that I really am not a quitter. I proved to myself what I’m capable of.

Una sa lahat, THANK YOU, LORD!
Thank you for giving me the strength and the right mindset to finish my race, despite the pain.

So yung nga picture na nakita nyo na nag o-obs ako, injured na po ako..

Yes, I got injured on the first few kilometers of the race. For context, maling hulog sa isang obstacle, nauna yung kamay ko, so nasalo ako ng kamay ko.. at first, I was so happy and excited pero nung nahulog ako, parang bumagsak din lahat ng excitement at confidence ko.. I was shaking, I almost cried sa sobrang sakit, and I was panicking.. Coach Jaypee asked me, “Kaya mo pa ba?”
Honestly, doubts crossed my mind. I checked myself and i know myself at alam kong kaya ko pa, so i immediately told myself “hindi ka mag D-DNF, (did not finish) not today. Tatapusin mo ‘to.” ..

I knew I had a goal. A goal I was determined to accomplish, to finish the race.

And YES! I did it!!! I FINISHED THE RACE!! And i was also able to volunteer the next day! THANK YOU, LORD!!!🙏🏻

P.S. This doesn’t mean you should always push, kahit hindi mo na kaya. We all have our own different situations. But I just want to say: know when to rest, know when to quit, know when to push, and most importantly, know your body well.🫶🏻
