Luffa Seeds - I save my own now but originally got them from @bakercreekseeds

Cantaloupe - Hales Jumbo - great flavor and huge cantaloupes! Saved seeds a few years back but originally got the seeds from @botanical_interests

I know a lot more people have a dehydrator vs a freeze dryer, so I wanted to show you how I make a tomato powder from the left over tomato skins after canning salsa! This is a great hack to make sure nothing goes to waste!

I just used my last jar of salsa from 2024 the day before, so it was time to start stocking up again! WE GOT A YEARS WORTH!!! We went through 1-2 jars a week on average! 🥰🍅❤️

I LOVE the fresh vegetable salsa recipe on page 201 from the ball complete book of home preserving! Been making it for years! It’s the perfect classic salsa! I love that I can make it as spicy or mild as I want by simply switching the peppers in using!

Everything was grown in my garden minus the cilantro, tomato paste, cumin, and vinegar.

I started a garden because I wanted a activity that got me outside more often. Once I tasted how amazing the food tasted, that was the turning point! Needless to say I’m 8 years deep with no plans to stop any time soon!!

If you’re looking for a good cayenne pepper variety I can’t recommend the Red Ember enough! I search for years to find a cayenne better that was high producing and had thicker walls so it was easy to deseed incase I wanted to make a cayenne powder vs a flake! 🌶️🔥❤️
