What a week it has been! Exactly a week ago, I became the new owner of the legendary VS Code Red! How crazy is that!?! I’m so excited to find out what the future holds, and I’m honored to have the privilege to continue his legacy. I am so grateful to my husband and family for their unwavering support, to Glover/Galyean family for the opportunity, to Kristen Galyean especially for her kindness in helping me through this transition, and to God for blessing me beyond measure! For those who have been looking for breeding info on “Waylon”, here are some things you need to know for the 2024 breeding season: I am so excited to announce that VS Code Red will be standing to the public with @highpointperformancehorses! His stud fee will remain the same, and he will remain entered in all previous futurity programs as well. We are possibly going to add a couple of programs as well, so stay tuned for more information on that. All 2023 rebreeds will be honored in 2024, as stated at the sale, but I wanted to reiterate that I am so grateful for all of those who have bred to him in the past, and to those who will choose to breed to him in the future! Be on the lookout for Waylon’s new website that is under construction at the moment, and follow his social pages for any upcoming information! The Funky Buck is Down!🏹 - Thank you Lord for such an awesome answered prayer! Wow, this morning was crazy! @jonathanmabry_ and I got out to the woods for our last day of velvet hunting here in TN, and we had a feeling it was THE day! By 6:30 AM, there were 6 bucks and 3 does within 30 yards of me! I honestly have no clue how I was able to stand and draw back without getting busted! We have watched this deer for 2 years, and I knew that he was something special, but in person, he BLEW MY MIND! Such character, such mass, and such an all around cool deer to be my first velvet buck ever! - I want to thank @millersdeerrecoveryservices for coming out with #dallasthebloodhound and helping us track this big guy! I had made a 22 yard shot that looked good, and we had great blood, but he had gone into some THICK briars and brush on the neighbors property, so we wanted to be safer than sorry!
