From gang banging , selling drugs , prison , criminal activity , thought provoking lyrics ; Kokane & Ice cube delivered a cold message to the youth , that it’s not worth risking your life for money’s that might get you in a repeated loop of trouble. Go to school , get a job , learn a trade or start a legal business etc.

With so many hardships , pain & lost in the hood , it is very refreshing to hear a song from the legends , that touches on the dysfunctions in the ghettos , and how to have solutions , to encourage and inspire the youth to change some of there ways ; that’s leading down a narrow path to destruction…

#Kokane aka Jerry Buddy Long jr comes from music royalty. His father The Great Jerry Buddy Long Sr of Motown Records, has over 600 musical compositions in his catalog. Some of the greatest songs ever recorded in music history.

Also, KOKANE’s 1st cousin is Cold 187um from Above The Law , and his uncle is the Legendary “Willie Hutch” of the 70’s.

Kokane’s father was also a part of the famous “Funk Brothers” at Motown, who were responsible for playing all the music behind the Motown Legends. Incredible records that raised generations.

The Funk brother’s catalogue is ridiculous. They made more hits than The Beatles & Elvis combined together.
