This leopard stands on 2 legs like a human!!

While this leopard was ambushing some impala, it suddenly sat up on its hind legs to get a better view. Then, making the scene even more unusual, it stood entirely upright on its back legs, exactly like a human, for an even better view!
It looked so comfortable doing this, that it must do this all the time.

Crocodile ambushes lion cubs in front of their mother! 😧
A couple of weeks ago, while crossing a river near Sunset Dam by Lower Sabie, this pride of lions was suddenly ambushed by a crocodile. Most of the pride managed to escape, but one little cub wasn’t so lucky. Despite the adults’ best efforts to fight back, there was little hope for the helpless youngster.

Python tries to escape crocodile!

At Kumana Dam a few weeks ago, a python put up a desperate fight after being caught by a crocodile. But, the crocodile continued thrashing it around. 😮

Leopard gives guineafowls a flying lesson - but one fails

Patience paid off for this leopard in Timbavati when guineafowls came walking right towards it. But that was only half the job. The leopard still had to launch itself into the air and catch one of the birds mid-flight!

This weekend at Sunset Dam near Lower Sabie, a crocodile was enjoying its impala so much that it refused to abandon its meal, even when a curious family of hippos surrounded it.
This all happened out of the water. One of the hippos even sniffed and nudged at the crocodile, who was just trying to eat in peace. We’ve seen what happens when crocodiles become too comfortable with hippos, so this was quite a big risk!

A few days ago, just South of Afsaal, a lion was taking an afternoon walk.
He came across the famous Hyena den that we’ve been following for years. These hyena cubs thought they were perfectly safe, but they were an easy target...

Despite a clearly broken jaw, this giraffe is a powerful example of how nature finds a way.
Even a nearby Ox Pecker wanted a closer look. 🙈

Its unusual chewing might look strange, but it speaks to the strength and determination the giraffe has to survive.

A couple of weeks ago, when a group of vultures tried to steal a lion’s leftovers on the S137, the vultures didn’t expect to become the meal themselves.
One of them got a nasty surprise when a lioness came out of nowhere, showing off her incredible jumping skills.😮

A lioness on a buffalo kill had enough of chasing vultures away the whole day on the S137, a couple of weeks ago.
She sent them all a message when she turned into Michael Jordan to catch one of the vultures midair as it was escaping! 😮

The other vultures were in shock and left her alone after…

The full video of this sighting is out now!

Hayley Myburgh had this incredible sighting of three male lions chasing a rival down the S25.

“I had a really awesome sighting of three big male lions on the S25 a couple of weeks ago. Some people say that they are the Mathekenyane males (I have confirmed this). It’s quite interesting because I think the Mathekenyane males are from further north, like the Skakuza area.

This morning, the 3 of them chased another male who I think might be one of the S21 males.
They ran after him across the road and went off into the bush. But the Mathekenyane males came back again, and we got to see them start marking the territory.

The other males seem to be moving towards the Vurhami Pride area now.
The dynamics are always changing!
