my new EP “teenage nightmare!” is finally yours. 🥹 go stream and cry your eyes out with me.

a year ago, i was the most depressed i’d been in years. i wasn’t talking to friends, i didn’t want to write music, and i felt like i was going to completely disappear.

but now, in this moment, i feel so much joy and pride in being an artist and being able to give you this project.

this EP took blood, sweat, and tears to create as an independent artist. writing every song while i was still in school, creating treatments for the music videos, and building the world around “teenage nightmare!” was a painstaking process. i’m sitting here, crying as i’m typing this, because i’m happy to say that this project is now out in the world.

this EP is the story of me reconciling with my teenage years, rewriting myself as the main character of a teenage movie that i never really saw myself in. i was dealt with so much trauma growing up and i never really learned how to process it all, but this project helped me heal from those wounds and mature. i wrote this EP for my young fans who might be currently going through adolescence, but it’s also what i wished to say to my younger self— the confused and angry queer kid from the suburbs of california.

thank you to @dpolovick and @andrewluce for being my main collaborators on this project and seeing this project all the way through with me. you guys are the most talented and awesome producers an artist could ask for. thank you to @grahamcruser for mixing the hundreds of tracks and vocal stacks on each of these songs (i’m a maximalist at heart, i know).

and thank you guys for being so patient with me and being a part of my journey. teenage nightmare is my gift to you. i hope you love it. ❤️
