Has Mav always gotten it right? No. I’m sure of that. Everybody makes mistakes along the way. But I can sleep at night knowing that when it comes to the content of our worship and our songs, it has always been pure and released with the intent to glorify God and help give people language during worship, both in times of difficulty, triumph, disappointment and joy.

From leading worship at Desperate For Jesus with my friends @priscillashirer and @chrystalhurst , getting to worship with Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and spending good time with my dear friend @anthonyevansjr , to celebrating life with one of my favorite humans @nonanotnora …it’s just been a great week!

To sweet moments with friends… I’m just fulllllllll. Grateful for the joy, grateful for the rest, and grateful for the access to the presence of God.

When I was 18 I found out that I was pregnant, and I thought my life was over. I had promises over my life from God but I thought that I ruined His plan. Every time I look at Apryl I see the grace of God on my life and so strongly on her life. Keep living, and you’ll see the promises of God come to pass even through the mistakes.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful, mommy! What a wonderful God-fearing woman she is! If she is any indication of what’s possible, I know I’m going to be ok!

Mommy, I am so grateful to be your daughter and to have experienced your love, kindness, and friendship is the greatest honor of my life. I love you and although I used to be salty whenever people said we look like sisters, I am now greatly flattered ☺️

So the last two weeks have been busy, but in the best way. While working on something new, I was taken back to Jireh and got an opportunity to really reflect on how much God truly loves us!

I was in a room full of creatives singing this moment and it hit me… how important it is to encourage others to just put themselves out there. God is doing something so specific in His people, but so many creatives are afraid to share what He’s given them. I ended up preaching them a whole sermon on it afterwards 🤭

But, I’ll spare you the details and just remind you: God is for you and what’s for you is for you, and you never have to be afraid of fully stepping into that. It’s better to do it afraid than to do nothing at all. 💛
