Tomorrow, December 21, 2023 makes 7 years since I took my Momma out of that nursing home on a late night in Memphis Tennessee, and moved her to Los Angeles, California.

Thank you God, I know I would not have made it this far without you.

I will NEVER regret that decision. Life is better with you Momma! 🤗

Last night was a tough one. Momma couldn’t sleep. She kept asking me for her purse and her keys. I said, “Momma, where are you trying to go?” She replied, “I want to go outside.”

She actually has been saying it for a couple of days now. But I’ve been working across the country and we haven’t had time to do our normal “Girl’s Day.”

I thought to myself… how are we going to make that happen without a wheelchair van?

But God always makes a way. A Huge thank you to my good friend and the owner of @smstransportation for sending a van and driver last minute.

Momma always loved live music — I think that’s where my love for it comes from. So I ended her birthday weekend by taking her to see my friend, and one of her faves, the amazing @lalahhathaway.

Thank you so much for making this moment possible, Lalah 🫂

Thank you Mr. Kenneth for driving us and keeping us safe.

Thank you to my mom’s amazing caregiver Karecia who’s quickly become family.

This trip was spontaneous, exhausting, and absolutely priceless. I’m running on fumes and can’t wait to pass out on this flight tonight… but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

This weekend was pure joy. I experienced the magic of the @atlantajazzfestival for the first time, and it absolutely delivered. It felt like a big family reunion!

I’m sincerely grateful to @andreforatlanta and @adrianevjefferson for the warm welcome. Your hospitality made this weekend truly special.

A huge hug and thanks to @ginathediva, @officialdannyglover, and @picrazatl for hosting a joyful #MemorialDay cookout and game day that felt like home. 🫂

Thank you God!!! This is me and momma’s favorite show!

If you know me, you know this has been the dream since Season 1 of “Reasonable Doubt.” I used to host watch parties for this show, so the fact that I now get to join the cast still hasn’t fully sunk in. Just a few months ago, I was fangirling from afar… now I’m on set.
